Brand Stratos Branding
Brand Stratos is a print and promo company in Tacoma, Washington that specializes in branded promotional marketing for small businesses. The company merged with a competitor to expand their service offerings and client list, and chose to rebrand as part of their launch campaign.
The previous brand consisted of a simple logo that featured a rocket ship, an obvious choice with a name that referenced the stratosphere. However, it lacked the polish that the brand needed to garner the trust of small businesses looking for marketing support.

The Design
The new brand needed to look good, but also be flexible enough to be used on a variety of merchandise. I chose to keep the space feel, but opted to lose the rocket ship and move toward a wordmark for the logo design.
I commissioned artist and designer, Jordan Ballard to develop logo concepts and we settled on a design that harkened back to 70s and 80s NASA and featured a triangle symbol that could be used standalone on merch. Jordan also developed symbols reminiscent of the Space Invaders arcade game to be used in combination with the logo.
Next I worked with the designers at Brand Stratos to further flesh out the brand, designing swag, invitations for the brand launch party, and business cards for the team.
