Orion First is a small business commercial finance servicer. Commercial finance for small business is a niche segment in lending where independent financiers and banks lend money to support SMB growth.
As a servicer, Orion manages the life of these loans and leases after they are booked. Their primary client is the lender but a large part of their role is to ensure the borrower stays happy, has access to critical information, and⸺ultimately⸺pays their bills..
The Design
Small business owners are busy, so Orion decided to make it easier for them to access their account and to make payments with a customer portal.
If a borrower has more than one loan or lease that is serviced by Orion, they get a single pane view of all their contracts within a dashboard when they log in. If they have only one account, they are directed immediately to the contract detail page for an overview of their account information.
Users can easily make a payment, view payment history, request changes to payment information, or contact customer service.
